Overzicht
Ionising radiation offers various applications in industry and in the medical sector. It is a challenge to sufficiently protect the workers, public and environment against possible detrimental effects of radiation.
This training session is part of a series of sessions organised in the framework of the continuous professional development in radiation protection in the medical sector. The aim is to discuss the most recent status of relevant subjects in radiation protection for professionals responsible for the supervision of exposed workers, public and environment.
A certificate of attendance will be provided.
Doelpubliek
All professionals who are directly involved in the control or supervision of radiation protection issues, such as:
- Medical Doctors for medical supervision;
- Experts in Health Physics who supervise the measures in radiation protection in the medical sector.
This training session is eligible for:
- 2,5 hours of continuous professional development in radiation protection for the prolongation of the certification of occupational health physicians;
- 1 hour for radiologists;
- 1 hour for connexists;
- 1 hour for authorised persons (gemachtigden – personnes habilitées).
A certificate of attendance will be provided.

Voorkennis
Knowledge of the basic principles of ionising radiation is recommended, but not required.
Preparation
No preparation is required for this training course.
Prijs
The registration fee is 195,00 EUR (excl BTW) and includes the course material and coffee break.
