Job description

You are in charge of the training programme offered to SCK•CEN staff and of the development of development initiatives at the level of the individual collaborator, the team and the organization. You are also interested in other HR fields and are ready to learn and to take on other tasks.

This includes:

  • collect and analyze the needs for training of SCK•CEN collaborators, jointly with the direct managers, HRM, ISPPW and other relevant units at SCK•CEN;

  • set up an appropriate offer and attract relevant internal or external training providers, always taking legislation on procurements into account;

  • ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of offered trainings and, when necessary, adjust them to the needs of our organisation;

  • guide administrative collaborators regarding practical organisation and registration of the training sessions in the dedicated database;

  • actively contribute to developing a (mostly technical) competences catalogue;

  • ensure follow-up of new trends in training & learning development to, in the long run, work on a possible development of new instruments or methods.

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Sciences or Engineering Sciences with an additional degree of pedagogic ability or relevant professional experience in pedagogic and educational approaches
  • basic knowledge of nuclear principles and applications in terms of safety and/or knowledge of ‘learning in an organisation’ are assets;
  • you like teamwork, you get on well with colleagues and understand them;
  • good communication skills;
  • you show initiative and have strong organizational skills,;
  • good writing skills (in Dutch, English and French);
  • strong interest for all SCK•CEN activities;
  • appropriate knowledge of office tools (namely MS Office package and e-learning/distance learning packages);
  • thorough knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
