Job description

Your task as a cybersecurity engineer is to watch over the ICT network, systems and applications.

The following tasks and responsibilities are part of your job:

  • To coordinate the initiatives of ICT cybersecurity;
  • to cooperate with internal and external network security experts including the Information Security Officer;
  • to advise on and supervise the implementation of security policies and measures;
  • to develop risk assessments and audits such as vulnerability and penetration tests;
  • to install and manage network security solutions;
  • to advise and raise awareness among IT users on cybersecurity;
  • to manage incidents and develop corrective actions;
  • to maintain and widen expertise in the field of cybersecurity.

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences (Industrial Engineer) or Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences (Civil Engineer),  preferably with a specialisation in ICT;
  • a broad professional experience in ICT, including at least 5 years of experience in networks and security;
  • good knowledge of and experience in networks, security, firewalls, SIEM, IAM, encryption and risk management;
  • knowledge of ISO27001, ISA/IEC 62443, GDPR;
  • knowledge of security for ICS/SCADA/IoT is desirable;
  • experience in the field of security scans, audits, penetration tests and incident response;
  • showing a sense of responsibility and initiative, being autonomous and well-organized;
  • being able to carry out project-based work in a flexible, efficient and discreet way;
  • being prepared to participate in duty periods;
  • strong oral and written communication skills;
  • relevant knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
